Cissus moth -
Xerociris wilsonii
Austin, Texas, USA
July 8, 2004
This is a newly-eclosed moth from a hand-reared caterpillar that feeds on Cow-itch Vine (Cissus trifoliata). The rather large caterpillar made a rather small moth; about thumbnail size.
