I think this is a Cryptoglossa. I submitted another one on 5-7-2012 and 4-9-2010 (Darkling beetle) and I think they are the same kind of insect.

need a plain dorsal to tell genus... something in the Asidini
doesn't look like Cryptoglossa to me

Definitely Cryptoglossini. The picture is a little to blurry to be sure. My best guess based on the picture, geographic range, and habitat is Cryptoglossa muricata.
