Margined Leatherwing (Chauliognathus marginatus)

The darker of these two was waving its wings in what a took to be some sort of signal (wasn't trying to fly). The lighter bug arrived and the two moved around together for a while form leaf to leaf until I lost sight of them.

Do these guys signal each other?
