Southern Dane County, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
I'm not sure of the exact ID, but I think it's safe to say these are Velvet Mites, in the Trombidiidae family.

Velvet Mites
Thanks, Robert! It was a challenge - they were both moving pretty fast, especially the male. I was really happy to get them both in focus!
