Another Limonius I believe - Hemicrepidius

Another Limonius I believe - Hemicrepidius
Near Ruraldale, Upshur County, West Virginia, USA
June 10, 2007
Blaine's ID of the elater I photographed today has me wondering about this one, which looks very similar but has darker legs and darker posterior pronotal angles. Another Limonius I suspect. By coincidence this one was taken precisely 5 years ago today.

Moved
Moved from Limonius.

thinking Hemicrepidius hemipodus
Can't make out tarsal pads in these images but the gestalt looks right.

Hmmm
Hmmm, where shall we park it? Hemicrepidius hemipodus?

P.S. Just reviewed my files but I got only one pic of this beetle.

maybe just at Hemicrepidius sp.
definately out of Limonius, though.
