Iris meadow, elev. 2530 m, Mt. Pinos, Kern County, California, USA
June 10, 2012
Found flying mid-day at the edge of Iris meadow and Jeffrey Pine forest, mostly landing - as seen here - in Symphoricarpos rotundifolius var. parishii (Parish's snowberry).
Help needed with ID.
This individual has stronger color, and slightly different dark pattern from the one seen around the same time - see thumb below; gender difference?

Moved from ID Request.
