Weird Winged Moth? - Amblyptilia pica
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
July 20, 2006
Found it in my bathroom on the fluorescent light.

Moved
Moved from Platyptiliini.

Moved
Moved from Plume Moths.

6118 - Amblyptilia pica
ID by Debbie Matthews, Pterophorid referee at MPG

The Wing Markings Are Quite Similar To....
... 6118 - Geranium Plume Moth - Amblyptilia pica, but the abdominal markings, if I am not mistaken, are different from that species. I will try to obtain an expert opinion soon.

Plume moth
A plume moth, Pterophoridae. I wouldn't have a clue which one.
