Aphis sp. - Aphis illinoisensis - female

Aphis sp. - Aphis illinoisensis - Female
Oak Ridge, Guilford County, North Carolina, USA
June 11, 2012
Found on wild grapevine. Not sure about "Aphis" classification, but that looks
closest based on BG images.
Interesting color changes as the nymphs "grow up," although there is some variation even in same-sized individuals. The winged adults are mostly black, but there are a few dark brown ones.
