Bee fly - Systoechus
Stampede Reservoir, Nevada County, California, USA

Saw several of these blond fuzzy bee flies while walking out to Stampede Reservoir. Skimming the guide brought me to Systoechus. Can someone confirm or point me in the right direction if I am way off?

Systoechus is correct. I suspect this is S. fumipennis, but not enough characters are visible to clinch the ID.
