Adult male Phidippus
Being an adult male in the northeast with this color pattern would lead me to conclude that this is a P. princeps. I am not familiar with all of the variations of this species, but there are other adult males that are on the guide that are similar to this one. I suspect that this is probably a less common color pattern for P. princeps.
This other male that you found is the same species.
