Typically white head and thorax. Possible a species complex of several cryptic species.

Throughout US and Canada.
Type locality: Toronto, ON.
See Also
Bronze Alder Moth (Argyresthia goedartella Linnaeus, 1758), head and thorax golden. This Eurasian species, apparently restricted in North America to Alaska, has historically been confused with A. calliphanes.
