Mordellidae - Mordellistena masoni

Mordellidae - Mordellistena masoni
Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska, USA
June 16, 2012
Size: About 4mm

Mordellistena liturata
This is M. liturata. When compared with M. masoni (the other species with similar coloration), the absence of small, pale spots between the transverse pale bands is diagnostic for M. liturata.

M. masoni seems likely, although would be nice to confirm with seeing small "spots" between the larger markings (M. liturata would be the other choice).

Moved from Tumbling Flower Beetles.

I wish I could have provided a better image. This was the only one like this I have seen.

Moved from ID Request.
