Potter Wasp egg and larva - Eumenes

Potter Wasp egg and larva - Eumenes
Fort Bend County, Texas, USA
June 14, 2012
Size: 2mm
Potty wasp egg, most likely Eumenes fraternus. Size: ~0.8 x 2 mm. Yellowish.

Note: we saw a potty wasp flying around the nest not long before we collected it. There's nothing else other than the egg itself, indicating that the nest was newly built. Each square in the background grid = 5mm.
