I'm not very good at these...

Sericoda obsoletus (Say)
certainly fits these images. Compare to images of Platynus consimilis LeConte, a synonym of S. obsoleta. Note the shiny silky dorsum, characteristic shape of pronotum, and the elongated elytra with parallel sides.

 
gender: S. obsoleta sounds more appropriate
