Six-eyed spider - Segestria pacifica

Six-eyed spider - Segestria pacifica
Cowichan Valley, British Columbia, Canada
June 18, 2012
Size: ~10mm body length
This spider lives around the side of the house inside a little silk retreat. I've known about it for a few weeks, but haven't had the chance to photograph it until now. I was quite surprised when it turned out to only have six eyes, as I've never seen such a spider before. After searching around on the net a bit (I couldn't find a shot of an eye arrangement quite like this on BugGuide), I came across this site:

http://www.jorgenlissner.dk/Segestriidae.aspx

Which shows a similar arrangement for the genus Segestria. Could this be Segestria pacifica?

Moved from Spiders. Great images & ID. I am thoroughly enjoying your contributions to the guide. Very nice! Do you have a Flickr site?

Thanks
I'm really glad you like them! Being able to contribute here is a privilege for me - I've learned a lot thanks to the site and the experts on it such as yourself. :D

Here's my Flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/38283808@N06/
I haven't been keeping it updated or organized though, which I'm starting to think I should.
