Western insects
I live in San Diego (and regularly visit Arizona) and look forward to sharing some of the western critters with the group. I have been really enjoying seeing all the eastern species -- they are quite exotic to me!

Name updated to Chrysina.
Thanks for Phillip Harpootlian for bringing this to my attention.

Welcome to BugGuide, Robyn!
Thanks for a very nice addition to our scarab pages. By the way, if you know the name of your insect you can post it directly to the right place in the guide. In this case, we don't have a Plusiotis page (I am going to create one right now, and will move your pictures to it), but you can still post to the general Scarab images.
Once your image is on its own page, the scientific name in italics will appear automatically after your title. You can edit the title in your submission form if you'd like to clean it up (hit "edit" button under your image).
I hope we'll be seeing more of your pictures. Most of us are in the eastern US so I'm sure you'll have a lot to contribute that we haven't seen.
