Agonopterix sp.? - Psilocorsis

Agonopterix sp.? - Psilocorsis
Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
June 17, 2012

Moved - Don't Frass
Moved from Gelechioidea.

I think we should preserve Terry Harrison's comment below. I din't know about the palpi stripes.

Psilocorsis
This is one of the Psilocorsis spp., I don't know which one. It looks as though it has been through a bit of physical trauma, with the large rubbed area on the forewings and only one labial palp remaining (but the white stripe can clearly be seen on the third segment of that palp, and the stripe is a tipoff that the moth is a Psilocorsis).

Moved for Further Investigation
Moved from Moths.

Certainly looks close to Agonopterix, just can't find a match :(
