Size: About 7 mm
There are a few of these insects on the daisy flowers in my garden in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada at about 3:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time.

I suspect you're right...
But
Harmostes
is a Rhopalid, not a Mirid (plant bug).
