Size: ~3mm
Found this tiny beetle moving across the surface of a leaf in the sun.

Tritoma pulchra
from D & A, this one is Tritoma pulchra Say. It's the only one with the red/yellow humeral "spot" extends back to within 1/4 of apex, AND with black scutellum.

Another new species for BugGuide :)
