Clivina? - Clivina fossor

Size: 5.3mm

Moved from Clivina.
Thanks Peter. I'll keep an eye out for C. collaris.

Clivina fossor
based on my microscopic examination of this specimen which is now a photo-voucher in the P.W.Messer collection. Thanks Tom.

While the elytra are somewhat paler than forebody in this likely immature C. fossor, I don't believe there is enough such color contrast to be sibling species C. collaris, also known in the northeast. Tom, please watch for introduced species C. collaris in your area with dark forebody contrasting with yellowish-red to pale brownish elytra.

Moved from Scaritinae.
