Egg of ?

Egg of ?
Seminole, Seminole County, Oklahoma, USA
June 24, 2012
Size: pinhead
Egg, will post photo of host plant as well.

Moved
Moved from Unidentified Eggs & Hatchlings.
Seems like it must be a skipper of some sort, anyway. There are others with the same host plant.

How about...
Common Sootywing?

Could be!
The pictures of the skippers in the guide remind me of the Hayhurst's Scallopwings we have flying around in abundance in our yard also. I should have collected the eggs, but I was afraid the plant would wilt before they hatched.

Egg on lambsquarters
Moved from ID Request.

I think this is a lepidopteran egg, but I'm not sure what species.

Unfortunately...
The day I didn't check the eggs was the day they hatched...

I realize from this small photo...
we won't really know what it is, but wondering if it is moth, butterfly or otherwise?
