Melanistic western Lyric Cicada
Usually, the colors & pattern are more obvious; however, I have seen a few of these which were very dark, as seen here. Close examination and you can see trace remnants of pattern with deep reddish-browns and bronzy-green coloration.

The ventral surface is typical and the strong amber cast to the wings is also helpful in identification of western populations.
