Several longhorns on wild hydrangea flowers - Typocerus velutinus

Several longhorns on wild hydrangea flowers - Typocerus velutinus
Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
June 23, 2012
The wild hydrangea flowers were full of visitors; several of them were Lepturinae. They seem to belong to different species.

Typocerus
This looks alot like my T. velutinus. They have a pretty varied
color pattern, yours missing the second to last apical yellow bands,
but I have two like that also. Light legs, black antennae and "ring
around the collar". They normally have a stongly produced outer spine
or sometimes bidentate. They love Hydrangea. Take a look at it until
the experts chime in. I found them in Clarion and Lebanon Co. PA.

Typocerus velutinus is correct
