Identification
Males are light yellowish brown with a dark forewing discal spot.

Colorado to New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona.

Macaria flavicaria is replaced by
S. helena in areas of western Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, eastern Washington and eastern Oregon.
