what makes something a 'quaker moth'?

is it just a term for a basically monocolored not very ornate moth? this one at least had nice color.

 
Great question!
I do not know the answer but suspect you are correct. All the "quakers" are indeed non-flashy, single toned moths! Dressed as the Quakers!
