Is there any way to get more specific than "green lacewing" from a photo?

from this photo, yes: this is Chrysopa oculata
as you can see, we have 11 genera and 16 spp. in the guide, all identified from photos. your photo shows the most common species of the genus; the dark pattern on the head & prothorax is diagnostic.
