= P. uteana Tanner. TL: Kanab, Utah
This species, formerly considered a syn. of diffracta by Young (1988), will be revalidated in a forthcoming publication currently in review. Recent comparisons with Tanner's holotype, from Kanab, UT - a stone's throw from Coral Pink - indicate the change in taxonomic status. In addition, that typical phenotype occurs throughout south-central Utah in similar sandy refugia.
