I wouldn't worry too much.
It's a spider beetle--maybe this one:
They are common domestic "guests," particularly, it seems, in NYC. You can read about them by clicking on the photo I provided, then selecting the "Info" tab.

Definitely that one, only one we get around here :)
Check your pantry just in case, it's amazing the things they feed on. Most likely you won't see anymore though.
