Cropping
This image would benefit from some cropping. Remember that only you and the editors can see the full size image. There is a fair amount of wasted space here.

Cropping
Images were cropped from the original picture. I actually think you see what I see. There are no full size images that I can tell. I also reduced them from 2-3MB down to 300-400KB. Sorry I don't understand your complaint.

Cropping
I did it for you this time. It went from 2049x1449 pixels to 1200x1092. So I eliminated some of the unnecessary background. The instructions tell you to crop so that the insect fills the frame. It is not a complaint. This isn't just for the guide but it is to your advantage that the insect shows at its best, both on the page and as a thumbnail.
Images such as this are shown at 560 pixels on larger side, no more. Only the contributor and the editors can click on it and see the 2049x1449 pixels or 1200x1092 but everybody else can't, so they miss the details.
I know it is tricky. I have been doing it for years and often remind myself that many people are not familiar with the technology, but we all learn :)
