Beautiful moth - Hyles lineata - male

Beautiful moth - Hyles lineata - Male
Colorado Springs, Colorado, El Paso County, Colorado, USA
July 2, 2012
Found female yesterday and the male today. She was half again larger than he was. Found in the morning. I did not measure them. She was larger than a monarch butterfly. He was just a bit smaller than a monarch. (Perhaps he was just immature?)

Hi,
Cool pic! Just wanted to pass on that when a moth is a moth.... they are full grown. When they are not full grown, they are a caterpillar or pupae. Keep the pic's coming! :o)
