Thamnotettix confinis
I finally found some specimens like this in the U. Delaware collection. Apparently the more southerly forms of this very widespread species have pale wing veins. Whether this is a geographical race, or an ecophenotype (a variety produced by different environmental conditions when it was growing up) or whether it represents an undescribed species remains an open question.
