Large long horned beetle? - Bellamira scalaris - male

Large long horned beetle? - Bellamira scalaris - Male
Fairfield, Somerset County, Maine, USA
July 5, 2012
Size: 25-28mm
I found this on my house...after a bit if fell into the grass and got ready to fly away (maybe.)
Guessing female because of what seems like a reproductive organ that was slipping in and out of the rear...?
Thanks

At that size, makes us think of Bellamira

It's our understanding that it is the male with the elongated abdomen.
