Spined Oak Borer - Elaphidion mucronatum

Spined Oak Borer - Elaphidion mucronatum
Parkwood, Durham County, North Carolina, USA
July 26, 2006
Size: length 20 mm
Found at my kitchen window at night, captured and posed. This is a series showing the antennae-span (almost 60 mm, with the body length 20 mm) and a couple of anatomic details. I find longhorns so confusing, I like to see some real close shots of femoral spines and the like.

Is this a male? Seems likely, with those antennae.
