little ant - Brachymyrmex patagonicus

little ant - Brachymyrmex patagonicus
Palm Beach County, Florida, USA
July 8, 2012
This is one of the little ants that the big ant was killing. This one confuses me though. Most of the little ants in the trail looked dark, but a few, like this one, were more reddish brown. They still looked like they were wearing pale knee-highs, so I suspect White Footed, but I'd prefer to be sure. What do you think? I'll go out and try for a clearer picture again.

A young individual, recently emerged from the pupa, thus paler.
