little tiny ants - Brachymyrmex

little tiny ants - Brachymyrmex
Palm Beach County, Florida, USA
July 8, 2012
Here's the best I can do with the tiny ants. Now I'm not so sure about white footed. Quite a few more crawled up a bit of dayflower that was touching the wall and they're all this tiny. The ants that I'm fairly sure are White Footed seem a bit bigger than these. Wow, Florida has a lot of ants!

Right you are about Florida's many ants - over 200 species. This is one of the several adventive, brown, South American species of the genus, which now live in Florida, mostly in human-modified habitats.
