My guess is a wasp of some sort as it was hunting and very skittish like many of the wasps found in the cedars nearby. As always, help identifying it is very appreciated, thanks all!

Pamphiliidae
I can't see some generic characters. Probably Acantholyda sp., but maybe Cephalcia sp.
