Slug moth? - Adoneta spinuloides - female

Slug moth? - Adoneta spinuloides - Female
Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, USA
July 4, 2012
Size: ~9 mm forewing
At outdoor light. The closest I got to a match was with Saddle-back Caterpillar Moths (Acharia stimulea) but it is not convincing when I look at the images in BugGuide. I need help!

Not an ID
but looks like it could be a Rectilinea Slug Moth - Hodges #4668

Thank you, Robert, for sharing with me information about Adoneta moths plus images of pinned specimens that was made available to you by Dennis Profant. Looking at the images of his moths, and at images on BugGuide, I now feel comfortable proposing ID #4685 Adoneta spinuloides for my slug moth.

I'm comfortable with spinuloides on this.

Slug Moths
With 50 species in 22 genera, it is really important to get a good lateral photo. There simply isn't enough information to ID a majority of them.

The slugs
In hindsight I realize that I should have explained the chain of events that led you to provide me with Dennis Profant’s information on Adoneta. It was in response to my comment on a Adoneta bicaudata post
