I found this just a few mm away from the nymphs on the same leaf.

Corythucha marmorata. It is possible that those nymphs are the same lace bug. Lace bugs can complete their whole life cycle on the same leaf or twigs. Also, some species of lace bugs have "parental" behaviors, so it is not uncommon to see the adults hanging out with the nymphs.
