Moved from Proctacanthus.

The amount of red in this species is apparently very variable. However the contrasting femora and tibia and the short male genitalic appendage is apparently distinct.

Proctacanthus
I can't make this a rufus. There are several Proctacanthus species in Florida that I have not sorted out yet. I plan to try and separate some of them in the big Procta photo collection at some time. Really fine robber however. Did you collect this??

Yes
but I let it go after photographing. Are you interested in specimens from my area for your collection or ID purposes?

Specimens
I never answered your question. It is a kind offer. We would be interested in Machimus species, the duller gray male Proctacanthus species, any of the rare Ceraturgus and the even more fascinating Nannodioctria for study. Otherwise we would be wasting lovely insects.

Ok
I will keep a look out for them, but I am guessing I won't see any until June or July.
