Moth for ID - Anisota virginiensis
Hampton, Virginia, USA
July 11, 2012
Size: 3/4 inch
Could anyone ID this please? Alas I dont have my camera at work where it was sitting outside the door when I arrived this morning. Had to use a cell phone but its better than nothing... barely.

Frass after ID.

genus Anisota
It's this genus, possibly a male senatoria.

Actual color which isnt showing well here suggests
Anisota virginiensis and we arent in Texas which narrows it down just a little.

I need to keep my old camera in my desk again for just such a chance.
