golden bee - Apis mellifera

golden bee - Apis mellifera
Palm Beach County, Florida, USA
July 12, 2012
Lots of honeybees were on my Firebush, and then there was this bee. Everything was buzzing around, so I'm not sure it's the same bee as http://bugguide.net/node/view/672579, but it could be. I only saw one pale bee. Is it just a color variation, or a different bee?

Beautiful honey bee!
Honey bees have lots of color variations, from mostly dark to mostly pale / golden :)
