Can't find this one in John Abbott's excellent 2005 book. Found at porch light.

Moved from ID Request.

red damsel
Don,
At first glance it seemed similar to Amelia's Threadtail (well out of range). But it may be something else. Does not seem long bodied enough for a thread tail. I'll let you know what I find out.

Citrine Forktail (Ischnura hastata)
Well, I thought this might be something different, but I have corresponded with both John Abbott and Dennis Paulson about this damsel. Both have said it is a young female Citrine Forktail (Ischnura hastata).
