So it really was different from diagonalis

E. diagonalis > intercalaris compared
Notice the shape of the triangle in the basal area of
Euclidia diagonalis
is a regular triangle shape.
That triangle in
C. intercalaris
has a "tail" extending off the inner corner towards the anal angle.
Both species are in your area.
