I'm assuming this is a cat flea?

flea flea

I do not see defined genal or pronotal combs (could just be the angle); cat (and dog) fleas should have both. Can you supply a more lateral shot, esp of the head/pronotum region? Thanks!

Sorry, no. I loaded a little larger version, but I don't have anything that's more lateral.

there may be pronotal comb (there is a glare so hard to see) but defintately no genal comb. This is not a cat or dog flea.

not a cat or dog flea.
very interesting!
