Broad-striped Forceptail - Aphylla angustifolia - male

Broad-striped Forceptail - Aphylla angustifolia - Male
The Woodlands, Montgomery County, Texas, USA
July 29, 2006
Another new one for us. I tried browsing clubtails, but I feel like I don't know what I'm looking for. Any suggestions or info toward ID would be really appreciated. Thanks!

(Our new odonata book(1) just came. I'll start with reading the clubtails. :))

Thanks everyone!
Thanks to all of you for the help with ID and moving the image.

Looks like Broad-striped Forceptail
Aphylla angustifolia. The narrow shoulder stripe with the thicker lateral stripe behind it, and the bold yellow rings on the abdomen, interrupted by the black encircling carinae point to this species.

Another good call!
Here is an image from Texas A&M . We'll move it.
