Black bug with red and white wing edges - Melacoryphus lateralis

Black bug with red and white wing edges - Melacoryphus lateralis
Santa Cruz, Santa Fe County, New Mexico, USA
July 15, 2012
Size: 5-6 mm?
On my arm (left, fortunately) for a few minutes till it decided to fly away. I'm guessing Rhopalidae because it looks something like a boxelder bug.
