Corethrella?
Seems to have too many veins for Ceratopogonidae. Do you have any more pictures?

Corethrella
Great discovery! These can be hard to find. According to Art Borkent's 2008 paper on Corethrella, this keys out to a female in the Corethrella brakeleyi/condita species complex based on wing banding pattern. Males of these two species can be distinguished but females cannot at this point. Massachusetts is near the northern limit of the known range.
