white & rose spider - Misumena vatia

white & rose spider - Misumena vatia
port orford, curry County, Oregon, USA
July 10, 2012
Size: smaller than a dime
This picture was taken at Port Orford Cemetery. It was mid day and sunny. I found this beautiful spider on a bunch of cut flowers that I bought from my home in Sixes Oregon also in Curry county about 12 miles north of the cemetery. there were red roses, white roses, blue hydrangea and daisies. the spider was there for several days on 1 occasion when I went there it had caught a grand lunch of fly , the spider quickly retreated to the white rose where I could not get a picture of it. I am just hoping that someone will be able to identify this pretty spider and tell me what its name is. I have lived in the area for most to 50 years and have never seen 1 like this. This was the only decent picture I was able to capture. I would like to submit the pic in some photo contests but i dont know what she ( because its pretty) is called. hope someone can help me. thanks

Moved to Misumena vatia
Moved from ID Request. This is a pretty common spider, but they hide pretty well in flowers.

Female, Crab Spider, Misumena vatia
