Set up a retreat near the top of the container inside a piece of pine bark, extensive cobweb, prefers ants and beetles over winged bugs.

Looks like a (very well fed!) juvenile male Steatoda to me... maybe borealis?

 
That's what it should be
Two Steatoda listed for this area and this isn't S. albomaculata.
Right now there are three Steatoda on the latch side casing of my garage door, one above the window, another on a flower pot.
They have dark red / brown legs and black carapace is rough, bumpy like sand paper.
