Moved
Moved from Moths.

I agree
this looks like a Palpita.

Why not move it to that genus for a better chance of it being noticed by someone who knows those moths well?

Palpita
Am I allowed to do that myself?

Yup!
Consult the HELP menu about moving pictures.

My understanding (and experience) is you can do what you think best with your picture. Editors can do things with your pictures. No no one else can do anything but comment on them.

Part of the trick of getting an ID is moving the picture to where an appropriate expert will see it easily. Wasps seem to do best in the "ID Request". Flies do pretty well moved to the family.

Moth people are so busy it is hard to know... Genus is good if you're pretty convinced you're correct (and you are with this one).

Best!

Moving to genus
Thanks; I was just able to do that!
